A Change of Scenery: A Photographic Debut

Kelsey McNitt Prather is an alumna of Northshore High School in Slidell. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from LSU and also has a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Science from Southeastern. She is currently working on her Master’s degree from LSU Health Sciences Center in the Family Nurse Practitioner program. Kelsey is a home health registered nurse for Woman’s Hospital in Baton Rouge and her absolute favorite patients are the tiny premature babies.

When not helping sick kids feel better or working hard on her studies, she loves traveling to new and exciting places with her husband, Aaron. So far she has traveled to four continents and is always planning their next trip! Her camera is her constant companion, whether she is drifting down the Grand Canal in a gondola in Venice, camping beneath the stars in the Australian Outback as the dingoes howl a lullaby, savoring a French macaroon beneath the Eiffel Tower in Paris, or shivering in the middle of Times Square in a record-breaking blizzard. Kelsey is just as enthralled with the fascinating world found in her own backyard and enjoys taking photographs of flowers, animals, swamps, cypress trees, cemeteries, and all the things that make life in Louisiana so unique and unforgettable.
